The Charlotte Hornets need to break their eight-game losing streak. Against the Atlanta Hawks, they have a chance, but it won't be easy. The Hawks are 8-6 on the season, a sign of a good but middling team, and somewhere many pundits expected the Hornets to be.
The Hornets are missing three key players tonight — Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Marvin Williams, and Gary Neal — and they may struggle to defend the Hawks' wing players as a result. Luckily, Al Jefferson had an incredible night when the two teams played on November 7. If he's able to get involved early and often, the Hornets could very well blow the Hawks out.
The Hornets' next game is against the Chicago Bulls, which isn't especially easy, so if they want to prevent their losing streak from hitting 10 games, a win in Atlanta is a must. After that, the Hornets' schedule opens up a bit, however, so it's unlikely things get much worse.
Anyway, the game's about to start. Let's chat!
