The Hornets are coming off a bit a wake up call the Oklahoma City Thunder. After winning four straight it looked like the Hornets were turning things around. But their four wins were mainly unimpressive and very flawed. The Thunder exposed those flaws and, despite being on a back to back, managed to dominate the Hornets for most of the night. Now they look to bounce back against an equally flawed Orlando squad.

The Magic have been rebuilding for the last couple years and this season are looking to take a step forward in their new era without Dwight Howard. Orlando has managed to stay competitive with some of the best in the NBA this season and manage to give a lot of teams fits. But they're wildly inconsistent on both sides of the ball due to a lack of talent and shooting.

Last time these two teams met the Hornets had arguably their worst loss of the season. Charlotte was up 20+ points at home to the Magic and had to do nothing but hold their lead to the end. Slowly the Magic got back into the game and when the fourth quarter reached its most crucial point Orlando had managed to bring the game back within striking distance. The Hornets finished their collapse and that's when many knew Charlotte was in trouble.

The Hornets have an advantage against the Magic in this being a home game for them but both teams are on a back to back. Orlando was at home last night while Charlotte was in Oklahoma City so a lot of the usual factors of a back to back aren't in play here, meaning whoever has more energy might get the edge.

The Magic are a very beatable team for the Hornets as both teams are playing at about the same level so far this season. Obviously the Hornets entered the season with much higher expectations, so what Orlando has done appears to be more impressive, but that doesn't really change that both teams are on equal footing tonight.
