Charlotte Hornets at Houston Rockets Gamethread

The Hornets are in Houston for a New Year's Eve matchup with the Rockets.

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

It's New Years Eve and what better way to ring in the new year than a battle between the Charlotte Hornets and Houston Rockets?

Unfortunately for the Hornets they aren't ending 2014 on a healthy note. Not only are they still without Lance Stephenson, but Al Jefferson can be added to the list of absent starters. Replacing the two is, Gerald Henderson as always, and Bismack Biyombo. This will be the first time all season that Biyombo is playing with the starting lineup and how he does could impact the entire game. Is he still too much of a liability on offense or will his defense overcome those short comings?

Meanwhile, the Rockets are looking to take advantage of the Hornets lack of health. The two positions the Hornets are injured at happen to be where Houston is strongest. James Harden is playing like an MVP this season and Dwight Howard has looked like he's back in Orlando again.

But hey it's the NBA where anything is possible. Sit down, have a drink, and make sure to have a Happy New Year. Stay safe out there folks, we love you and want to keep seeing your names in our comments section.
