Charlotte Hornets name change press conference thread

At 12:30 p.m. EST, the Charlotte Bobcats will hold a press conference streaming live on their website announcing the official transition to being known as the Charlotte Hornets.

For many older fans (and some younger ones too) or just fans who never cared for the Bobcats name, which perhaps left a bad taste in fans' mouths due to the connection to Bob Johnson's name, the name change is a welcome and long-dreamed goal, aside from on-court hopes.
