Charlotte Hornets vs Miami Heat Gamethread

Tonight, the Hornets take on the Heat in a divisional match up.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Heat used to be the big bad team in the Southeast. They had LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, and a roster full of role players that scared the heck out of teams. They could be anybody in the NBA and turn on the switch at a moment's notice, but that's over now. LeBron has gone back to Cleveland, and while Bosh and Wade are still around their scary backup dancers aren't there with them.

Now, the Hornets have a chance to get a big win over a team that they could be battling for playoff positioning with late in the season. Both Miami, and Charlotte have gotten off to slow starts with neither team planning to give up on the season. If both teams turn their season around, and make a run at the upper half of the conference, this game in January could end up being a lot more important than we originally thought.

So sit down, have a drink, eat some food, and lets chat Hornets.
