The Hornets have had a lot of good things going for them lately. The defense is better, everybody is healthy, and things appear to be looking up. Thennnnnnn last night happened. The Cleveland Cavaliers took all that good stuff the Hornets were doing, and beat Charlotte over the head with it in the form of dunks and alley-oops. So it's safe to say Charlotte needs a nice easy rebound game like the Knicks.
New York has been truly awful this season thanks to a mix of injuries, and a lack of talent. They've lost both of their games to the Hornets this season, and Charlotte wasn't even playing their best basketball yet. The first loss was at the hand of a Kemba Walker game winner, and the other was a matinee thrashing in Madison Square Garden.
Except none of that matters anymore, because the Knicks are surging! Well not exactly surging, but hey they're on a winning streak which might count for surging in this awful season. The Knicks have been one of the worst teams in the NBA, so of course this streak has come against injured, weak, and under performing teams.
There's been no real way to describe the Knicks gameplan in games like this, because they don't really have a consistent one on a nightly basis. The defense is bad, and the offense is very random. Sometimes they play physical and other times they don't. The only reason to watch the Knicks this season is to see players like Langston Galloway have a surprising impact.
While the Knicks are on a win streak, the Hornets should be able to win this handily. Both teams are on a back to back, and the Hornets should be looking to make up for their horrible performance in Cleveland. If Charlotte somehow loses this one it was because Carmelo Anthony went off, or there's a lot of problems with this team when it happens to be healthy.
