Charlotte Hornets at Miami Heat gamethread

New, comments

IT'S FINALLY HERE!

Danny La-USA TODAY Sports

We made it everybody! The Charlotte Hornets take on the Miami Heat tonight in the opening to their season! It's been a long offseason, and there were dark moments here and there (such as that time the comments thread attempted an uprising and we had to slowly beat them back to the dark depths of the internet), but we finally made it. We no longer have to spend time arguing about hypotheticals and possibilities. Starting tonight we'll have honest to god information that matters to use for our arguments...which we will then discount because it's just been one game. What a time to be alive.

As for the game itself! The Hornets are an interesting group, because we might be seeing a different team tonight. All preseason Charlotte talked, and showed, a new brand of offense they've never ran in the Steve Clifford era. Lets see how that fairs as they take on what should be a pretty good Miami Heat team.

For those interested in what's going on with Miami, this is the first bit of game action the Heat will actually get to see Goran Dragic, Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng, Chris Bosh, and Hassan Whiteside all play meaningful minutes together. They never got a chance to last season so expect a small adjustment period from them.

We finally made it guys. Sit back and enjoy, because the Charlotte Hornets are back.
