Charlotte Hornets vs Los Angeles Lakers gamethread

Tonight is Kobe Bryant's final game in Charlotte. The city that "drafted" him and traded him away. Lets remember the good times with him!

Oh hey, it's Kobe Bryant's final game in Charlotte tonight. You know. The team that "drafted" him and then traded him in what is commonly remembered as a bit of a mistake by the Charlotte franchise. Of course, everybody knows the true story about him not actually being drafted by the Hornets, but by the Lakers who in turned flip Vlade Divac on over to the Hornets.

Still, we had a lot of fun memories with Kobe right? Remember that time it took overtime for him to score 58 points on the lowly Bobcats? Yeah, us too.

Oh, or that time when he got a Twitter account and made up some stuff. Gooooodddddd times.

Yeah, lets just say that Hornets fans don't have super fond memories of the guy. That said, he is a legend of the game and will be appreciated in some way for that. Everybody knows about his obsession with matching Hornets owner Michael Jordan, but he was never able to reach that goal. Still, five championships and a plethora of individual awards is a pretty decent consolation prize.

The Hornets will have a video at video at halftime, and plan on addressing Bryant's final game, but it will be interesting to see how he's treated by the fans at tip off.
