It's a real shame that tonight's game between the Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons isn't happening with a healthy Al Jefferson, because I was dying to see Big Al go up against Pistons big man Andre Drummond. Detroit started off the season hot but has faltered here as the month of November went on. The Hornets, due to scheduling, started off the season a little slow but find themselves in the early season playoff picture. Throughout this there have been two consistencies. The Hornets 3-point shooting and Andre Drummond.
Drummond is a monster rebounder down low, and the best player Detroit has. The Dwight Howard comparisons might not be fair, but he's an immensely talented player. The Hornets front line of Cody Zeller and Marvin Williams will have a difficult time containing him, but on the other side they're going to take him out of his comfort zone by stretching the floor.
Tonight has a lot of fun matchups that will be worth paying attention to, but make sure to give special attention to the front court. That's where the game will be won or lost.
