Tonight the Charlotte Hornets will travel to Texas and take on the Dallas Mavericks. It won't be an easy one considering the Hornets are on a back to back, but there was a lot of good moments to work with as of last night. For starters, new point guard Mo Williams had a fantastic debut with the Hornets, and will be looking to repeat his performance tonight. He obviously doesn't have to go out there and shoot 20 times, but a handful of buckets in an efficient manner, and a few 3-pointers, would do wonders for the constantly struggling Hornets offense.

The defensive side of the ball however is where the game will be won. The Hornets have their hands full tonight going up against one of the best teams in the NBA on both sides of the ball. When Rajon Rondo is on the court the Mavericks have one of the top defenses in the NBA, and when he's off the court the Dallas offense reaches elite level efficiency, so it's safe to say they have a lot of options in that regard. Luckily for the Hornets their best defensive player, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, is back and healthy and the Hornets are a completely different team when he's with them. Slowing down Dallas won't be easy, but with MKG out there Charlotte should at least have a chance.

It seems unlikely the Hornets will win since they're on a back to back, on the road, and playing a Western Conference playoff team, but hey weird things happen in the NBA. A few balls bouncing their way, a favorable call here and there, and a lucky night shooting would certainly give the Hornets a chance. Give someone a chance in the NBA and anything can happen.
