Hornets at Celtics gamethread

David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

The Hornets and Celtics take each other on for the third time this season, and tonight it's in Boston. The Hornets will be without Bismack Biyombo or Kemba Walker. The Celtics meanwhile will be without Jared Sullinger.

Tonight is a big game for the Hornets, because they're currently trying to battle for a playoff spot, and the Celtics are...well we think they're battling for a playoff spot? Nobody is exactly sure what's up Danny Ainge's sleeve. Sometimes he makes a clear move to make the team worse than it was so they can give those minutes to younger players, and maybe get a better draft pick. Other times they make trade for Isaiah Thomas in a clear move to improve the roster. While Thomas is young, and probably isn't helping the Celtics in to the playoffs on his own, it still made Boston a better team.

So tanking team vs a team trying to make it to the playoffs, or two teams battling for a playoff spot? Nobody knows!
