Charlotte Hornets at Brooklyn Nets

Oh hey, regular season playoffs have started!

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

The best part about March for the NBA is that's when the regular season playoffs begin. The early parts of the season are all about figuring out who's legit this season and which teams are going to struggle. We figure out the tankers, contenders, pretenders, and everything in between. Unfortunately, January and February are usually highlighted by some pretty terrible basketball as most teams are just going through the paces on their way to the All-Star break.

Then, March arrives and everything gets exciting again. The tanking teams are still tanking, but anybody that finds themselves in playoff contention kicks it into fourth gear and it's off to the races. Tonight, the Charlotte Hornets and Brooklyn Nets are tied for the 8th spot in the East, and not only is positioning on the line, but so is the tie breaker

Let's just say tonight is a big game.
