NBA Playoffs open thread (Apr. 18)

Y'know, there's still really good basketball on.

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Hello, my fellow Hornets fans! I hope you're enjoying your Saturday thus far.

So, the Charlotte Hornets are not in the playoffs. It sucks, but it is what it is. However, there's still very good basketball to watch over the next few weeks. The NBA Playoffs are entertaining first and foremost, but they're also an opportunity to see how playoff teams operate in the post-season.

The playoffs start today, and we have a four-game lineup.

WAS @ TOR
Time: 12:30 p.m.
Where: ESPN

NOP @ GSW
Time: 3:30 p.m.
Where: ABC

MIL @ CHI
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: ESPN

DAL @ HOU
Time: 9:30 p.m.
Where: ESPN

Today alone we have two MVP candidates (Stephen Curry and James Harden), Anthony Davis' first playoff appearance, post-season Kyle Lowry, Tom Thibodeau's playoff coaching (which, believe it or not, is far more extreme than his regular season coaching), and so much more. If you're not doing anything today, I highly recommend you tune in.

This thread and the ones that follow will give you guys a spot to chat about the games if you so please. Basketball's not over because the Hornets aren't playing. Basketball's just more empty without them.

Who's winning today!?
