Playoffs day two!

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday had fun slate of NBA games for all of us and today looks promising as well. We have LeBron James kicking things off, then the Atlanta Hawks firing away 3-pointers right after that. The night shift is occupied exclusively by Western Conference teams, which is only fitting, and those look to be long drawn out battles.

Tonight has some interesting narratives and story lines worth paying attention to. Right off the bat we have LeBron's first playoff game back in Cleveland we all know that's gonna be a party. To add a little extra fun, the last team he played against in the playoffs for Cleveland was, you guessed it, the Boston Celtics.

Next, we have the shockingly overlooked Atlanta Hawks going up against the Brooklyn Nets. If you plan on watching all the games today like me, then this is your best bet to to get/make dinner, or anything that requires a significant amount of time. Atlanta should blow this one out of the water early and win it with ease.

Make sure to come back for the beginning of the late stretch however. The Portland TrailBlazers take on the Memphis Grizzlies and it's a funny one due to some weird NBA rules. Since the Blazers won their division they were guaranteed a top four seed in the playoffs, but they have a worse record then Memphis and do not home court advantage in the first round. The NBA is weird and funny like that sometimes.

Now, for the series that has potential to be the best in the entire first round. The defending champion San Antonio Spurs had the two seed pretty much locked up on the final night of the season, but a loss dropped them all the way to sixth! Talk about crazy, and now they have to play the Los Angeles Clippers who are no pushovers themselves. This series has a lot of star power and talent, with the only downside being that Hack-A-Jordan is definitely going to be in effect.

That's our action for tonight. Grab a drink and relax cause we got a long night of NBA games in front of us.
