The votes are in. The San Antonio Spurs' Kawhi Leonard is your 2015 Defensive Player of the Year.
Leonard led the way with 333 points, with Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors (317 points), DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers (261 points), Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans (107 points), and Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz (33 points) rounding out the top five. You can see the full results here.
However, there was some interesting Hornets-related news, too. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist placed ninth with nine points.
Curious as to who voted for MKG? We've got you covered:
- Second place votes: Jack Armstrong (TSN/Sportsnet), Mike Rice (Comcast SportsNet NW)
- Third place votes: Glenn Consor (106.7 The Fan), Scott Lauer (WFNZ 610 AM), Sherrod Blakely (Comcast SportsNet)
So, of the 129 media members who voted, only five gave votes to Kidd-Gilchrist. I've assembled a little table of defensive statistics for comparison purposes.

Check out Kidd-Gilchrist's on/off opponent's points per 100 possessions. He led that statistic by a very, very large margin.
