Charlotte Hornets vs Philadelphia 76ers gamethread

The Hornets should at least win this one right?

John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports

It's hard to find many people that are confident in the Hornets playoff chances at this point of the season. They're only two games back of the last spot in the playoffs, but injuries to key players, and inconsistent play has many doubting Charlotte's ability to make the playoffs. That said, the Hornets are still going to be trying to win one in the hopes that they put themselves in favorable position to end the season.

Injury news! Al Jefferson, Cody Zeller, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will all not be playing tonight. Bismack Biyombo will be getting the start at center, and without Zeller this means Jason Maxiell should be getting some minutes at backup center. Looks like we're finally gonna get some time to watch Noah Vonleh.

Even with how bad the Sixers are, this game is no gimme for the Hornets. Philadelphia has a very good defense and the Hornets have struggled against even the most average of defenses this season. This is definitely no guaranteed win. Not by a long shot.
