The 2014-2015 NBA season was shaping up to be the best/most competitive season we've seen in a long time, if ever. LeBron James was back in Cleveland with new friends Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, the Warriors are beginning a potential dynasty, the Spurs continue to do Spurs things, Anthony Davis begins his reign over the Earth, Derrick Rose is back to lead his Bulls to the Finals, and many more story lines.
The West was as competitive as ever and even the East was giving us something new with the Atlanta Hawks running away with the East in surprising fashion -- this was supposed to be the best playoffs we've ever seen. All the series were supposed to be nail-biters and most of them were supposed to go to Game 7. Then injuries happened and teams regressed for a variety of reasons and we had a very meh Round 1.
So, TGFSC -- Thank God For Spurs/Clips. This is the basketball we've been waiting to see. Everyone wanted this series to go the distance and we've been rewarded with the best night of the NBA season to date. Buckle your seatbelts, you're in for quite a treat tonight.
