GSW leads 1-0
First up, the Washington Wizards are without star point guard John Wall looking to take a 2-0 advantage over the Atlanta Hawks. Thus far, the Hawks have been dominant in the playoffs. There was some doubt as to whether or not their regular season success would carry over into the post-season, and they've silenced any critics with a commanding win over the Brooklyn Nets in the first round. DeMarre Carroll put up 24 points in Game 1 against the Wizards, but overall, the Hawks struggled to put the ball in the basket. Without Wall, however, the Wizards may struggle to come out with another win.
The second game of the night features the Memphis Grizzlies against the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors, much like the Hawks, have proved to be a frightfully dangerous team in both the regular season and the playoffs. They led the league in both defensive and offensive efficiency during the regular season, and that momentum has carried over to the playoffs where they easily defeated an overachieving New Orleans Pelicans squad. Don't count the Grizzlies out, though. They're a well-oiled machine, and if any team in the Western Conference can give the Warriors a run for their money, it's the Grizzlies. But then again, Stephen Curry just won MVP.
Both games should be close and exciting. Tune into TNT and chat with us in the comments below.
