Charlotte Hornets announce Orlando Summer League roster

P.J. Hairston, Troy Daniels, and Frank Kaminsky highlight the squad. Orlando Summer League begins this weekend.

The Charlotte Hornets announced their Summer League roster to compete in Orlando Tuesday afternoon. P.J. Hairston, Troy Daniels and rookie Frank Kaminsky highlight the 14-man roster.

Other names that pop out on the roster include half of Kentucky's Harrison twins (I will choose to believe it is the two of them, switching out every other day), Aaron Craft and LaQuinton Ross of THE Ohio State University and Ralston Turner, the former North Carolina State star.

The team also announced that, for the second straight year, associate head coach Patrick Ewing will serve as head coach for the summer league squad. Games will be broadcasted on NBA TV. The team's first game is July 4 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Many of the names on the roster are intriguing for a variety of reasons. Hairston and Daniels because we get to see the two players try to grow as they fight for roster spots. Kaminsky because he is the new rookie that many, if not all, eyes will be on after the team passed on Justise Winslow to draft him. Kraft, Ross and Turner were all collegiate stars who are looking for a chance to break in on a NBA roster.
