Frank Kaminsky's footwork in the post could make him a factor in his rookie campaign

New, comments

We're breaking down the tape on three new additions to the Charlotte Hornets. This week, it's Frank Kaminsky and his agile moves near the basket.

Frank Kaminsky will have to bulk up if he wants to be a legitimate big man in the NBA. Pundits noted it, fans noticed it and now Steve Clifford has put it on the record in his interview with Rick Bonnell and the Charlotte Observer.

Luckily for Frank and for Hornets fans, Kaminsky has pro-level footwork already installed into his game. Frank will need to use a combination of instincts, basketball IQ and decisive moves around the basket to counter the size and quickness of NBA defenders he'll see this season. One hopes he'll use the assortment of moves you'll see in this video to attempt to get defenders in the air and draw contact.

David Walker and Coach Dwayne Cherry break down Frank's post-moves in the latest episode of our Video Breakdown series. They also chat about the intangibles that are giving the Hornets coaching staff reason to believe Frank Kaminsky will be a big time contributor sooner rather than later.
