Can anyone whoop Grandmama? HTL's all-time Hornets power forwards

New, comments

This was a fun one. Doug and David relive some 90's Hornets glory debating Larry Johnson vs. Anthony Mason.

You wouldn't know it from recent history, but the power forward position has traditionally been a position of strength and star power for the Charlotte Hornets. Larry Johnson started the trend when he burst on to the scene in 1991, claiming awards, accolades, national sponsorships and greatest of all a cameo in Space Jam.

Larry was our legend, but the man that succeeded him may have played just as well. Anthony Mason was a force inside, fleet of foot and cerebral between the baskets. David and Doug discuss their legacies PLUS we reveal the story behind Johnson's iconic Grandmama character.
