Charlotte Hornets at Denver Nuggets gamethread

It's never a good idea to lose seven straight.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

The Hornets really need to win tonight's game against the Nuggets. It's never a good idea to lose seven straight games, and it's very much in the realm of possibility tonight. If Nicolas Batum plays then that would be some major luck for the Hornets, but that's never a guarantee these days. He's missed the last handful of games, and non-coincidentally the Hornets defense has been really bad during that same stretch. If Batum plays that could change the game, but if he misses another then Hornets fans might start looking for the panic button to push.

Players to look out for tonight on Denver would be Kenneth Faried and Will Barton. Faried's a high energy guy that can change any game despite his lack of skills on offense and below average defense. Barton on the other hand is an incredibly fun player having a breakout season for Denver. He's one of the best 3-point shooters in the NBA, and his handle is really good for a wing. Keep an eye on him.
