Charlotte Hornets at Phoenix Suns gamethread

The Hornets take on the struggling Suns in a game they very much should win.

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

The Charlotte Hornets not winning tonight against the Phoenix Suns would be a huge failure even with all the injuries they've been fighting. The Hornets want to be a playoff team while the Suns have quit on their coach and the season. It's so obvious how little Phoenix cares on a night to night basis that it's amazing they win games at all. They don't play defense. The offensive sets they do actually run are very basic. They're a beatable team, and the Hornets losing streak should end tonight.

Players to watch for on the Suns are Tyson Chandler and Markieff Morris but not for the reasons one might think. Morris has made multiple headlines this year for his clashes with the front office and coaching staff. He's also not playing very well either, and neither is his teammate Chandler. Perhaps it's the environment he's in, or maybe age is just catching up, but Chandler has not looked like the player that won Defensive Player of the Year in 2012.
