Frank Kaminsky suffered a right foot sprain in a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves Friday night, according to the Charlotte Hornets.

This is could be a major problem for the Hornets if Kaminsky’s sprain is bad. Forward Marvin Williams and center Cody Zeller are each recovering from their own respective injuries, leaving sophomore Christian Wood as the team’s only healthy power forward.

That might mean Michael Kidd-Gilchrist playing at the four or playing two centers together if Kaminsky’s injury keeps him out into the regular season.

The regular season is five days away, so that’s a real possibility. Sprains can keep plays out anywhere from a few days to several weeks.

Kaminsky was having a good preseason, averaging 13.3 points and 6.8 rebounds in nearly 30 minutes per game.
