Frank Kaminsky will have the third year option of his rookie contract exercised by the Charlotte Hornets, according to Adi Joseph of Sporting News:
Rich Cho walked into the Hornets locker room to deliver a letter to Frank Kaminsky, which turns out to be his third-year option.

Third-year options are almost guaranteed, but the Hornets declined P.J. Hairston's last year.

While it was always likely the team would exercise his option, Joseph’s follow-up tweet shows it’s never fully guaranteed. The Hornets though, appear high on Kaminsky, which left little doubt that this would happen.
Kaminsky made his season debut last night against the Boston Celtics. He finished with 11 points, four rebounds, and three assists in 24 minutes.
Last season, he averaged 7.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists, playing 81 games, and starting three. He’ll be expected to a prominent part of Charlotte’s second unit, and building off a solid rookie season.
