Charlotte Hornets at Brooklyn Nets GameThread

The Hornets play a Lin-less Nets squad, to the disappointment of many a Hornets fan. Chat with other Hornets fans about tonight's game in the comments below.

William Hauser-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome, friends!

The Charlotte Hornets (3-1) are up in New York taking on the Brooklyn Nets (2-3) tonight. Jeremy Lin is unfortunately (or, perhaps, fortunately) out for this evening's game, and with Greivis Vasquez already sidelined, the Nets are very thin at point guard. Rookie Isaiah Whitehead appears to be their only option, though Randy Foye is returning from injury and could end up starting.

Here's what you need to know to tune in:

What: Hornets vs Nets
When: Nov. 4, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY
TV: Fox Sports Southeast, NBA League Pass
Radio: WFNZ 610 AM, WFNZ 102.5 FM

Roy Hibbert and Jeremy Lamb are out once again. No word on when they'll be back just yet. Clifford felt comfortable playing Treveon Graham in place of Lamb against the 76ers and he mostly played well, so expect to see that again tonight.

For the Nets, well, things are rough. Lin, Vasquez, and Caris LaVert are all out. They weren't deep to begin with, so this game could get out of hand if the Nets don't bring it.

Here are tonight's projected starting lineups:

Hornets Position Nets
Kemba Walker PG Randy Foye
Nicolas Batum SG Joe Harris
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
Marvin Williams PF Trevor Booker
Cody Zeller C Brook Lopez

The Nets were largely running through Lin until he got hurt, so now all eyes should be on Lopez. If the Hornets can limit Lopez's touches, they should be able to pull out a win. It does suck that we don't get the Kemba versus Lin matchup of our dreams. There's always next time.
