Charlotte Hornets vs Orlando Magic GameThread

The Hornets take on a defensive minded Magic team tonight. There is a high potential for ugly basketball.

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

The Charlotte Hornets take on a spunky Orlando Magic team tonight. Don't let Orlando's rough start and poor record fool you. Charlotte is taking on a top five defense that can keep them in the large majority of games. On the plus side for Charlotte, the Magic also have one of if not the worst offense in the entire NBA. If Charlotte can get a little bit of scoring over then they should win this one handily.

What: Hornets vs Magic
When: Dec. 9, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Spectrum Center
TV: Fox Sports Southeast, Fox Sports Florida
Radio: WFNZ 610 AM, WFNZ 102.5 FM

Here are tonight's projected starters:

Hornets Position Magic
Kemba Walker PG D.J. Augustin
Nicolas Batum SG Evan Fournier
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF Aaron Gordon
Marvin Williams PF Serge Ibaka
Cody Zeller C Bismack Biyombo

Tonight could get ugly with two very good defenses going at it, and the Charlotte offense has struggled a bit as of late raising concern that they're regressing. However, Hornets fans can enjoy throwback night with former Charlotte players Augustin and Biyombo both on Orlando's roster! Also, be on the lookout for highlights at any moment. Aaron Gordon has struggled to score this season, but his dunking ability always makes him worth at least keeping an eye on for potential excitement.
