Sunday's round of NBA action offers an interesting opportunity to pick a deeper lineup thanks to a lack of high priced options available to pick. No player costs over $10,000 today, with Damien Lillard price tag of $9,600 the most expensive. Today doesn't lack for good options though. Here are a few you should consider:
Kemba Walker ($8,700)
Since missing February 3rd's game against Cleveland, Walker has finished with no fewer than 37 fantays points in his last five games, including 54.4 against Chicago. In his first game after the All-Star break, he put up 25 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals. His biggest impact however is coming from the 3-point line. Friday, he was 4-9 from beyond the arc, and for the month of February, is averaging 3.2 made 3-pointers a game.
C.J. McCollum ($7,300)
If DeMar Derozon is a little outside your price range, McCollum is the next best option. Coming off of 21 points and seven rebounds against Golden State, McCollum has been a consistent threat at the shooting guard position, averaging 20.5 points, 4.2 boards, 4.2 assists, 2.5 made 3-pointers, and 2.2 steals per game in the month of February. As attention will increase to his backcourt teammate Lillard, McCollum should continue to benefit as the second scoring option.
Paul George ($8,700)
George is a no-brainer at this point, he's finishing in the mid-30s to low 40s in total fantasy points for most of February, offering a well-rounded game of points, rebounds, and assists. Sunday's match-up against Orlando should present the opportunity for a big night -- with Tobias Harris traded away, Orlando could find it difficult to find a wing-defender that could match-up effectively against him.
Derrick Favors ($7,400)
Favors is the most expensive option at power forward today, which represents great value for a starter. He's coming off a 48 point fantasy performance against Boston, and while we can't expect an exact repeat performance today, his 32 fantasy points per game this season is well worth his price tag.
Jonas Valanciunas ($6,700)
There are a lot of great options at center today (Brook Lopez, Rudy Gobert, and Pau Gasol to name a few) but if you've spent the majority of your money elsewhere, Valanciunas is great value at under $7,000. His match-up is intriguing -- the Memphis Grizzles are without Marc Gasol, and have a cluster of a frontcourt. This presents the possibility for a big game from Valanciunas, who just exploited the injury-ridden Chicago Bulls for 40.9 fantasy points.
