Lebron James and DeMarcus Cousins are available to pick, but you'll likely only be able to choose one.

Hung up on who you should choose in your Fanduel NBA lineup tonight? Here are a few suggestions:

Lebron James and DeMarcus Cousins are must picks, but you can only afford one

Both Lebron and Boogie have been posting ridiculous fantasy numbers over the past couple of weeks, but unless you plan to fill the bottom of your roster out with fringe role players, you can only select one. If you go with Cousins ($10,700), your lineup will likely end up looking more top heavy. Picking James ($9,900) gives you a little more flexibility, but even so, you'll likely be finding yourself scrolling to the bottom of the list for a player you can afford. In my case, I went with James -- which meant taking Jose Calderon as my backup point guard (I'm not proud of this), but you'll likely be doing this either way. Still, both are must picks, as they almost guarantee you a strong top player performance.

At $7,400, Kyrie Iriving is a steal

There are a lot of strong options at point guard tonight (Paul, Wall, Rondo, Lowry, and Walker) but Iriving costs less than all of them. Since his bedbug game against OKC, Iriving has put up 40.7 points in two straight games, and his fantasy average of 36.1 over his last 10 games is well above his season average of 29.5. At such a low price, he's worth picking over some of the pricier point guards.

Take a chance on Bradley Beal and Matt Barnes

Neither of these players are high on anyone's fantasy list, but both are matched up against favorable teams (Beal against Philadelphia, and Barnes against LAL). Beal is putting up near season average fantasy numbers of late, while Barnes has seen his minutes increase to over 30 a night over his past three games, includig a 39.6 fantasy points outing last night against none other than the Los Angeles Lakers (who they are playing back-to-back). They're both cheap options -- Beal costs $5,700, while Barnes costs $5,000 -- and could end up rounding out your backups well.

Other, random picks to consider

  • Nikola Vucevic ($8,500) -- If you don't pick Cousins, Vucevic is a good option, and more reasonably priced. Matched up against the Knicks, Vucevic could be in for a good night.
  • Derrick Rose ($7,200) -- He's been playing great of late, posting near 40 fantasy points a night in three straight games. The only problem -- he's a game time decision, and he's currently listed as questionable for tonight's game.
