Where to begin. Where to begin.
The Charlotte Hornets are playing one the NBA's best teams, the Cleveland Cavaliers, tonight. The Cavs are expected by many to make it to the NBA Finals — no surprise when your roster is headlined by LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love. They have a bit of depth, too, with J.R. Smith, Tristan Thompson, and Matthew Dellavedova. That's in stark contrast to James' heat teams from a few seasons ago.
So the Cavs are good. Very good.
The Hornets have beaten good teams before though, right? It can't be that bad. Oh, but it is.
You see, Kemba Walker is out tonight. He'll be sitting on the bench with Al Jefferson. Luckily, Nicolas Batum should be available, and Jeremy Lin, Cody Zeller, and Jeremy Lamb are expected to suit up for the Hornets tonight. The Hornets are mostly healthy, but they're still missing two big, important pieces. I'm not sure it's fair to expect Batum, Lin, or, dare I say, Marvin Williams to carry the offense. This could get ugly, and fast.
But hey! Michael Kidd-Gilchrist might start alongside Batum for the first time this season.
Anyway, you know the drill. Grab your snacks, hop to the comments and get in front of a TV. It's time for Hornets basketball.
