Today's host of NBA action doesn't feature a ton of marquee matchups. Still, there are a few players worth mentioning for their stellar fantasy play of late, along with a couple of players worth passing on.
Giannis Antetokounmpo ($10,200)
He's grown to be expensive, but Giannis has warranted his higher price tag, with three triple doubles in his last ten games, including a 28 point, 11 rebound, and 14 assist night against Boston that had him post 71.2(!) fantasy points. These numbers have become constant since he moved to point guard, so expect that to continue until teams figure out how to slow him down.
Shelvin Mack ($6,200)
Mack has thrived as the starting point guard in Utah since being traded to the Jazz on the deadline. His fantasy numbers back that up -- he's put up at least 30 fantasy points or more in five straight games. At $6,200, he's one of the cheaper point guard options available today, giving him great value considering his hot play of late.
Rudy Gobert: ($6,200)
Case in point, Gobert costs the same as his now thriving teammate Mack, but comes with far less value, having failed to score in double digits in six straight games. Rebounds alone doesn't warrant picking Gobert at this point, and considering he's coming off his worst performance in roughly a month (two points, seven rebounds), you're better off going in a different direction at center.
Gordon Hayward: ($7,000)
Hayward is typically a consistent fantasy performer, but missed two straight games recently before returning last night and posting only 19.1 fantasy points against Chicago. Hayward is dealing with a foot injury, which can be tricky to play on even after being cleared to play. Until he proves otherwise, avoid Hayward.
