The Hornets don't play again until Monday, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy Monday's NBA action through Fanduel's daily fantasy. Here are five picks for Monday's round of games:
PG - Damian Lillard ($8,500)
The Sacramento Kings give up more points per game (109.0) than any other team in the NBA, making this an inviting matchup for Lillard to excel in, and bounce back from two sub-par shooting performances.
SG - Devin Booker ($6,600)
Booker has played well of late, averaging 22.8 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game in his last five games. Aside from a 9 turnover outing against Sacramento, Booker has kept his mistakes down, averaging right around his season average of only two turnovers per game. He's more than reliable as a 3-point shooter, and his higher scoring averages recently make him a bargin at $6,600.
SF - Kevin Durant ($10,300)
He's expensive, but no other small forward averages anywhere close to what Durant does at 46.1 fantasy points per game. Playing at Toronto is a tricky contest, but Durant proved in OKC's last East Coast road trip that he is more than capable of putting up fantasy numbers against Eastern Conference teams, finishing with 52.9, 47.6, and 65.5 fantasy points against Boston, Philadelphia, and Indiana, respectively.
PF - Kristaps Porzingis ($6,700)
He's a small gamble, but Porzingis has totaled at least 30 fantasy points in his last three games, and faces off against the New Orleans Pelicans, a team depleted by injuries, and at this point in the season looking simply to solidify lottery prospects. With no Anthony Davis to defend him, Porzingis could be in for a big night.
C - Any one of Karl-Anthony Towns, Hassan Whiteside, DeAndre Jordan, Brook Lopez, or Al Hortford
There are a lot of good center options Monday, and this list doesn't even include DeMarcus Cousins. Assuming you picked Durant though, Cousins is likely out of your price range, but one of these five are all likely to put up strong fantasy numbers due to their consistent play, a favorable matchup, or both. Who you pick is up to you, but as you can clearly tell, you won't be lacking for options.
