Introducing At The Hive's "Kardiac Kemba" t-shirt

New, comments

You guys, we have a shirt — and just in time to beat the Heat. And the proceeds? Well, 100 percent of them are going to a Charlotte nonprofit. Get yours today!

If you buy something from an SB Nation link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

To commemorate such a stellar (and ongoing!) season from the boys in purple and teal, we wanted to release something special that best encapsulated these past 82 games. At the same time, we wanted to be more involved in the community, as it's you the fans that make the Charlotte Hornets and At The Hive so much fun.

So, we decided to create a t-shirt and donate 100 percent of the profits to Time Out Youth, a Charlotte-based nonprofit that provides much-needed assistance to LGBQT youth.(Apparently North Carolina passed some law recently?)

You can purchase your shirt here from our amazing partners at Breaking T, and make sure to check out the rest of their stuff while you're at it!

Behold, "Kardiac Kemba":

Kardiac Kemba

Kemba Walker is quite literally this team's heart and soul. His daily determination, bevy of clutch genetics, and unconditional refusal for backing down are the first things that come to mind when people think of the Charlotte Hornets. Hell, my first ever article for this site focused in part on that very idea.

Whether it's the career highs in scoring and field goal percentage, the runner-up in "Most Improved" he's bound to get, or even the 38 point performance at the game I attended with my generally non-basketball watching girlfriend, Kemba's play or rather, how he plays — demands attention, and deserves recognition.

We'd like to think of this as our small, undersized-UConn guard way, of expressing just that.

Here's to the 2016 playoffs, our city's youth, and the man with the heart big enough to handle both Kardiac Kemba Walker.
