Spencer Hawes probably won't see any more of the Miami Heat, and he's certainly not playing for the Charlotte Hornets tonight in Game 6.

ESPN's Justin Verrier (whom our own Hive Talk Live interviewed here) reported that Spencer Hawes has joined the Golden State WarriorsStephen Curry in suffering a relatively minor MCL sprain.

Hawes suffered the injury going for a rebound in the fourth quarter of Game 5, and could be seen limping down the court as the team transitioned from defense to offense on the following possession.

Hawes has unexpectedly been a decent contributor in this series. With Clifford's decision to go big, Hawes has seen a bump in playing time an taken advantage of it with horribly awkward but effective floaters late in the shot clock and stretching the floor against Hassan Whiteside.

It will be interesting to see what Clifford decides to do with Hawes' minutes. Maybe he'll extend his bench to include the likes of Tyler Hansbrough or Jeremy Lamb, or maybe he'll just increase the workload for the rest of the rotation.
