With the offseason signing of 7 foot center Roy Hibbert, Hornets fans finally have the dedicated shot blocker they pined for all last season. He came cheap, one year, 5 million dollars. He signed cheap because he's coming to Charlotte via the Los Angeles Lakers where he spent one of the least productive seasons of his career. His defense has been rendered ineffective by rule modifications and a changing lineup landscape. His offense has mysteriously disappeared. Can the Hornets pull another rabbit out of the hat and turn around the fortunes of another extraordinary talent on a short term deal?
