The Charlotte Hornets (18-15) are up in Illinois playing the Chicago Bulls (16-18) for their first game of the new year tonight. The Hornets are coming off a disappointing but expected loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers over the weekend. Let's hope they can start the new year on a high note.
Here's what you need to know to tune in:
What: Hornets @ Bulls
When: Jan. 2, 2017 at 8 p.m.
Where: United Center, Chicago, IL
TV: Fox Sports Southeast, NBA League Pass
Radio: WFNZ 610 AM, WFNZ 102.5 FM
Cody Zeller is out tonight with a concussion, making Roy Hibbert the team's starting center. My guess is Marco Belinelli is back tonight, but I haven't heard anything concrete about this. We'll see. Each and every Bull is healthy.
Here are tonight's projected starters.
Hornets | Position | Bulls |
Kemba Walker | PG | Rajon Rondo |
Nicolas Batum | SG | Dwyane Wade |
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist | SF | Jimmy Butler |
Marvin Williams | PF | Taj Gibson |
Roy Hibbert | C | Robin Lopez |
This game shouldn't be too difficult for the Hornets, but I'm not sure they can match the Bulls' energy inside without Cody Zeller. If they can contain Butler, however, that shouldn't matter much.
Hop on down to the comments to chat about tonight's game.
