Folks, do we have ourselves a night for you.
The Charlotte Hornets play their home opener tonight against a division rival--the Atlanta Hawks--whom also happen to be the team Dwight Howard played for last season. While the Hornets are hurting, there's gonna be a ton of energy at the Hive. We should be in for a good show.
If you weren't lucky enough to get tickets to tonight's game you can watch live on Fox Sports Southeast and League Pass or listen live with WFNZ 610 AM or WFNZ 102.5 FM, as usual. You can read Nick Denning's preview of tonight's game here.
Here are tonight's projected starters.
Hornets | Position | Hawks |
Kemba Walker | PG | Dennis Schroder |
Malik Monk | SG | Kent Bazemore |
Dwayne Bacon | SF | Taurean Prince |
Marvin Williams | PF | Ersan Ilyasova |
Dwight Howard | C | Dewayne Dedmon |
So yeah, the Hornets are hurting tonight--Nicolas Batum, Cody Zeller, and Michael Carter-Williams are out with injuries and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is with family due to his grandmother's passing. Hope all's well, Mike. The Hornets may be shorthanded but they'll come to play.
Tip-off's at 7 p.m. and you can chat with other fans in the comments below!
