Charlotte Hornets at Los Angeles Clippers

New, comments

It's New Year's Eve and for whatever reason the NBA continues to schedule games! Come chat with other Hornets fans about tonight's game.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

I fail to understand why the NBA schedules games on New Year's Eve. Historically speaking, games on New Year's Eve are awful. I can't say with certainty why that is but my suspicion, unfounded as it is, is that players are busy thinking about what they're going to do after the final buzzer.

As a result of the NBA's debauchery, the Charlotte Hornets take on the Los Angeles Clippers tonight. This is a home game against a team kind of finding its way much like the Hornets are. After picking up an incredible and unlikely win against the Golden State Warriors a few days ago, I'm thinking we'll see a relatively inspired effort against the Clips tonight.

As usual, you can watch tonight's game live on Fox Sports Southeast or League Pass and listen live with WFNZ 610 AM or WFNZ 102.5 FM.

Here are this evening's projected starters:

Hornets Position Clippers
Kemba Walker PG Milos Teodosic
Nicolas Batum SG Lou Williams
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF Wesley Johnson
Marvin Williams PF Blake Griffin
Dwight Howard C DeAndre Jordan

Only Cody Zeller is out for the Hornets. Danilo Gallinari, Austin Rivers, and Patrick Beverley are out for the Clippers.

Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. EST and things should wrap up well before midnight. Stay safe and have fun tonight!
