This is doo-doo.
The Charlotte Hornets (9-15) are losers of two straight and sit (un)comfortably in the 13th spot in the Eastern Conference. They've been hit by a wave of ailments, including to head coach Steve Clifford, and the team appears to lack identity about a fourth of the way through this season.
Tonight, they play the Los Angeles Lakers (9-15). The Lakers aren't very good, but considering the Hornets lost to the NBA's worst team last night--the Chicago Bulls (4-20)--I'd be cautious about expecting a win.
We'll see what happens.
As usual, you can watch tonight's game live on Fox Sports Southeast or League Pass and listen live with WFNZ 610 AM or WFNZ 102.5 FM.
Here are this evening's projected starters:
Hornets | Position | Lakers |
Kemba Walker | PG | Lonzo Ball |
Malik Monk | SG | Kentavious Caldwell-Pope |
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist | SF | Brandon Ingram |
Marvin Williams | PF | Kyle Kuzma |
Dwight Howard | C | Brook Lopez |
Clifford's out once again. Nicolas Batum, Jeremy Lamb, Cody Zeller, and Frank Kaminsky are also out tonight.
Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson are still things, but the Hornets have this one on a platter if they come to play.
Tipoff is at 8:00 p.m. EST.
