APRIL 1ST, 2017- The Charlotte Hornets have signed a football player. This isn’t just any football player. This is Carolina Panthers’ star receiver Kelvin Benjamin. Benjamin, who was drafted by the Panthers in the 2014 NFL draft, with the 28th overall pick, and shows a ton of promise on the field.

Benjamin, who is listed at 6’5”, will most likely play at the one or two. It is important to note that he did play basketball in high school. Benjamin’s vertical is about 32.5 inches, and in the NFL, is known for making insane catches. That type of athleticism could really improve the Hornets’ bench.

Benjamin will wear number 30. This is a controversial considering that Dell Curry also wore number 30. Hornets fans really shouldn’t know what to expect, and neither should the Hornets. Especially since Kelvin Benjamin has not played a single competitive minute of basketball since his high school days in Belle Grade, Florida.

However, like any other Hornets player, we should cheer him on. He is now apart of the crucial Hornets back-court that includes: Kemba Walker, Nic Batum, Marco Belinelli, and Briante Weber.

Anyways, have a nice April First everyone...
