Charlotte Hornets vs. Boston Celtics GameThread

This could be the end of the road, friends. It might not be, though, and the Hornets are going to do everything they can to make sure it's not. Hop on down to the comments to chat about tonight's game!

This is it, guys and girls. This could be the game that decides the Charlotte Hornets' season.

If the Hornets lose to the Boston Celtics tonight, that's it, poof, they're out of the playoffs and in the draft lottery. A win, however, would keep their hopes alive -- barely, admittedly -- and give some meaning to their two remaining games after tonight.

They're currently three games out of the playoffs. The Indiana Pacers have the eighth seed. The Hornets do have the tiebreaker over them, but would need the Pacers to lose each of their remaining games. They'd also need the Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons to do the same.

Needless to say, things are bleak. But you know the Hornets'll come out with the intent of winning, especially against a great team like the Celtics.

Here's what you need to know to tune in:

What: Hornets vs. Celtics
When: April 8, 2017 at 6 p.m.
Where: Spectrum Center, Charlotte, NC
TV: Fox Sports Southeast, NBA League Pass

Marco Belinelli's out tonight, which really sucks. He'd been terrific lately. Ramon Sessions and Johnny O'Bryant are also out for the Hornets tonight. Amir Johnson, James Young, and Tyler Zeller are out for the Celtics.

Here are tonight's starters:

Hornets Position Celtics
Kemba Walker PG Isaiah Thomas
Nicolas Batum SG Avery Bradley
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF Jae Crowder
Marvin Williams PF Kelly Olynyk
