It’s draft night, amigos.

The Charlotte Hornets have the 11th pick in this year’s NBA Draft and appear to be interested in one of the many guards that should be available when they’re on the clock.

The draft begins at 7 p.m. and you can watch it on ESPN.

The Hornets already added a major piece in Dwight Howard, whose mere presence should anchor the Hornets’ half-court defense and allow Hornets head coach Steve Clifford to go back to some of the offense the team ran with Al Jefferson a couple of seasons ago.

Now, the Hornets need to add some shooting and depth at the guard spots. They’d rather not bring Ramon Sessions back if they don’t have to, as while he’s not bad by any means he was a considerable drop in talent from what the Hornets had with Jeremy Lin the season prior.

For that reason, it’s likely they take a long, hard look at any and every combo guard available tonight. They could also make a trade to add a more veteran player, as they’re somewhat limited in what they can do in free agency this year.

So that’s where we’re at.
