Charlotte Hornets head coach Steve Clifford will return to the team following a leave of absence, according to Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer:

Bonnells states Clifford’s leave of absence was caused by severe headaches that he began to suffer from this season.

He will reportedly return next Tuesday for the team’s practice, and return to the sideline the following night against the Washington Wizards.

This is really good news. The silence surrounding his condition was unnerving. When information is scarce, it’s easy to think the worst. Severe headaches are no joke, but hopefully the severity and amount have lessened since he is now medically cleared. Even though the Hornets have three more games before he returns, the news could give them a small boost. I’m sure we’ll hear plenty of reaction from players and coaches before tomorrow’s game.

Here’s to hoping that Clifford suffers no setbacks and can finish out the season.
