The Charlotte Hornets begin a brief, one-game road stint this afternoon with a midday game against the Detroit Pistons. Seldom do we see the Hornets play a game so early in the day, but it's Martin Luther King Day and (most) of the NBA's target audience is on holiday today. So here we are.
The Pistons have played fairly well this season, but a few key players have been hit with injuries in recent weeks so the Hornets have an opportunity to sneak in and out of the Motor City with a win.
As usual, you can watch tonight's game live on Fox Sports Southeast or League Pass and listen live with WFNZ 610 AM or WFNZ 102.5 FM.
Here are this evening's projected starters:
Hornets | Position | Pistons |
Kemba Walker | PG | Ish Smith |
Nicolas Batum | SG | Avery Bradley |
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist | SF | Reggie Bullock |
Marvin Williams | PF | Tobias Harris |
Dwight Howard | C | Andre Drummond |
Cody Zeller's still out. For the Pistons, Reggie Jackson, Stanley Johnson, and Jon Leuer are out.
Tip-off's at 12:30 p.m. EST.
