Charlotte Hornets vs. Washington Wizards GameThread

Winners of four of their last six games, the Hornets take on the Wizards at home tonight. Chat with other Hornets fans in the comments below!

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

The Charlotte Hornets appear to be slowly, gradually, but deliberately turning their season around. They've won four of their last six games and have settled into something of a groove relative to what we saw in November and December.

Tonight, they take on the Washington Wizards. The Wizards currently sit in the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference and that's likely around where they'll finish the season barring a major injury. If the Hornets are a playoff team--and they're not right now--they'll need to consistently beat teams at the Wizards' level.

And the Hornets are at home, where they've been okay. This is a good opportunity.

As usual, you can watch tonight's game live on Fox Sports Southeast or League Pass and listen live with WFNZ 610 AM or WFNZ 102.5 FM.

Here are this evening's projected starters:

Hornets Position Wizards
Kemba Walker PG John Wall
Nicolas Batum SG Bradley Beal
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF Otto Porter
Marvin Williams PF Markieff Morris
Dwight Howard C Marcin Gortat

Everything's as usual for the Hornets. Cody Zeller's still out but everyone else is good to go. There was concern Frank Kaminsky might not play tonight but he was upgraded to probable earlier today. For the Wizards, only Sheldon Mac is out. He's recovering from reparative surgery on his Achilles tendon and won't play until next season.

Tip-off's at 7:00 p.m. EST.
