Charlotte Hornets at Atlanta Hawks GameThread

Yikes. The Hornets hope to recover from a two-game losing streak with a game against the lowly Hawks tonight. Chat with other Hornets fans in the comments below!

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

The Charlotte Hornets are treading water. They're not sinking, exactly, but they're not doing much to save themselves, either. They're kind of just floating, waiting, hoping something fortuitous will come their way.

Tonight, they take on the Atlanta Hawks in Georgia. The Hawks are awful, and a loss tonight would shatter my little heart. The Hornets may indeed Hornets up this game, but I'm trying to stay optimistic. The trade deadline is fast approaching so they need to figure this out as soon as possible to ward off a possible explosion of trades in Rich Cho's (possible) last hurrah as general manager.

As usual, you can watch tonight's game live on Fox Sports Southeast or League Pass and listen live with WFNZ 610 AM or WFNZ 102.5 FM.

Here are this evening's projected starters:

Hornets Position Hawks
Kemba Walker PG Dennis Schroder
Nicolas Batum SG Kent Bazemore
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF Taurean Prince
Frank Kaminsky PF John Collins
Dwight Howard C Miles Plumlee

Cody Zeller is fast approaching his return but is still out. Marvin Williams is out as well with a sprained ankle. For the Hawks, DeAndre Bembry is out.

Tip-off's at 7:30 p.m. EST.
