Ever since I was a little girl, sports has been my passion. It started as a way to compete with (and beat) the boys. Now it has organically turned into a career. Although the first sport I participated in was swimming, the first sport I truly loved was basketball.
I remember watching the GOAT - don’t debate me - Michael Jordan dominate the sport. His competitive fire and his smooth and seemingly effortless game glued me to the television screen.
Now that I’m a sports journalist, not only is watching basketball my passion, but also writing about all aspects of the game: expressing the excitement of the locker room, interviewing a player after a game-winning shot, relaying the players’ pain after a tough loss, bridging the gap between teams and fans, and telling the story of the game in a way that’s fresh and informative.
The Charlotte Hornets need more writers telling their story. That’s my mission as editor and the new leader of At the Hive. And At The Hive will be one of the best at it.
I look forward to working with the wonderful staff and contributors of the ATH community and wish outgoing managing editor Josh Priemski all the best. We thank him for his dedication to building At The Hive into a go-to place for Hornets fans.
