Charlotte Hornets vs. Toronto Raptors GameThread

New, comments

The Hornets are finally back in Charlotte and play perhaps the best team in the Eastern Conference this afternoon, the Raptors. Chat with other Hornets fans in the comments below!

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

It's been a while since the Charlotte Hornets have played a game at Spectrum Center. Despite a lacklustre season overall, the Hornets have been okay at home, flaunting a record of 15-14 when they play in North Carolina.

Unfortunately, this afternoon's game is against the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors lead the Eastern Conference with a record of 38-16 with a team almost exactly the same as last season's. In fact, most of their improvement has been internal. Their youngsters have blossomed into excellent role players.

This will be a hard but exciting game.

As usual, you can watch tonight's game live on Fox Sports Southeast or League Pass and listen live with WFNZ 610 AM or WFNZ 102.5 FM.

Here are today's projected starters:

Hornets Position Raptors
Kemba Walker PG Kyle Lowry
Nicolas Batum SG DeMar DeRozan
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF OG Anunoby
Marvin Williams PF Serge Ibaka
Dwight Howard C Jonas Valanciunas

The Hornets are perfectly healthy. Malachi Richardson appears to be out for the Raptors.

Tip-off's at 1 p.m. EST.
