Charlotte Hornets at Atlanta Hawks GameThread

Dwight's taking on one of his old teams as the Hornets play the lowly Hawks tonight. Cliff's playing the kids, so this should be a fun one. Chat with other Hornets fans in the comments below!

The Charlotte Hornets play the Atlanta Hawks tonight. Now, that might not sound all that appealing and perhaps you're thinking of taking a night out on the town rather than sitting through a potential snoozefest, but hear me out.

The Hawks are a team that were dead-set on losing as many games as possible since their season began, meaning we shouldn't expect too much of a fight from them. If the Hornets' starters run away with this one, we could see the kids get plenty of run. The Hawks have depth but not a ton of talent so this would be good experience for the Hornets' younger players.

As usual, you can watch tonight's game live on Fox Sports Southeast or League Pass and listen live with WFNZ 610 AM or WFNZ 102.5 FM.

Here are tonight's projected starters:

Hornets Position Hawks
Kemba Walker PG Dennis Schroder
Nicolas Batum SG Tyler Dorsey
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF Taurean Prince
Marvin Williams PF John Collins
Dwight Howard C Dewayne Dedmon

Word floated around that Jeremy Lamb might not play tonight, but apparently he's gonna give it a go in spite of his back spasms. Cody Zeller and Michael Carter-Williams remain out. For the Hawks, Kent Bazemore, Malcolm Delaney, DeAndre Bembry, and Antonius Cleveland are all out.

Tip-off's at 7:30 p.m. EST.
