Hornets at 76ers: GameThread

New, comments

Come chat as the Hornets face off against the Sixers for the first time this season.

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Charlotte Hornets saw their winning streak come crashing down against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. The Celtics shot lights out, and Charlotte couldn't keep up in the second half. But fear not, because Charlotte has a chance to start another winning streak tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers.

In a weird wrinkle of the schedule, this is first matchup between both teams this season. Philadelphia has been good for three or four wins in past seasons, but they're a solid team this season at 33-27. Joel Embiid has remained healthy, and Ben Simmons is playing at a near All-Star level (sorry buddy, somebody had to get snubbed four times).

There's good news on the injury front -- MKG is good to go. Unfortuantely, Cody Zeller remains out.

Here are the projected starters:

Hornets Position Sixers
Kemba Walker PG Ben Simmons
Nicolas Batum SG J.J. Reddick
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF Robert Covington
Marvin Williams PF Dario Saric
Dwight Howard C Joel Embiid
